I always love the way that Goodreads shows a visual at the end of the year of your reading history. It’s colorful and fun and a great way to see the whole year at once. Here are a few take-aways from my reading adventures in 2022.
1. I am a very picky reader – I see that my overall rating for 2022 was a 3.2. Yicks! I guess if I gave a book a 4 or 5 I really liked it!
2. I abandoned about 25 books this year. I am not a patient reader – if you haven’t grabbed me in the first 10%, or 20% at the most, I’m out.
3. I did give quite a few 5 star ratings this year, however. These included: Signal Fires, The Marriage Portrait, All the Children Are Home, The Violin Conspiracy, The Rent Collector, Remarkably Bright Creatures, Toffee, The Guncle, On Division, Blind Tiger, The Book of Lost Names and The Rose Code.
